Hello everybody! I hope this finds you walking in the joy of the Lord!
Many times in our life as a true Christian we run into those moments of decision that we just don’t have the answer for but we still earnestly try to figure it out on our own. Or we may go ahead and make the decision from our own earthly wisdom and it gets us into a position of confusion; confusion that has to do with how did I get here and how am I going to get myself out of this? I guess the first thing that I need to say is that confusion in your life is something that is definitely not a result of following God’s Word and will for your life.
I have been there. I have made a decision before that seemed like a good idea at the time and it seemed like a God idea too, BUT I got ahead of God, I moved too quick in my decision and it put me into a situation that ended up in a quagmire of confusion. My eventual way out of it was to let God into it, and let Him decide what I should do from then on, and guess what, the place of confusion turned into a situation of peace and true God ordained purpose. I guess the Bible is correct when it says,
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.”-Proverbs 3:5-6
Verse 5 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart” This is a very important teaching because God is the origin or source of all good. He has made us as His creatures to be dependent upon Himself. He requires us to be conscious of that dependence. He has promised to communicate what we need and He commands us to believe His promises, and look for our fulfillment in Him. But, we are to do this without doubt, fear, or distrust and we are to do it “with our whole heart.”
“And do not lean on your own understanding” You are to lean on GOD, not on yourself, because as I have heard it said, “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool.”
Verse 6 tells us, “In all your ways acknowledge Him” This is what I have so deeply learned in my own life as a believer. I have learned to begin, continue, and end every work, purpose, and device, with God. I have learned to earnestly pray for his direction at the beginning, and to look for his continual support along the way, so that everything I do will begin, continue, and finish in His glory!
Leaning on our own self-sufficiency and self-dependence has been the ruin of mankind ever since the fall of Adam. Trying to live independently of God will do nothing but bring confusion. Trying to make the important decisions of your life without God can end you up in a place of great confusion.
There is no reason for you to have confusion in your life today. Give your area of confusion over to God. Set your mind on Him and begin to trust in him, lean on Him, let His thoughts be your thoughts, let His ways take the place of your ways. If your decisions have brought you to a place of confusion, then ask for forgiveness for trying to do it your way, and then let God help you do it His way. Confusion will not be a part of the life of a believer in Christ who is trusting, leaning and steadfast in their mind towards God.
I am excited for you today and the fact that you are going to be relieved of your confusion and set in a place of perfect peace!
God Bless and have a wonderfully peaceful day.

“with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Eph. 4:2-3)
“To accomplish anything great we need to work as a team.”
That’s a simple statement but I think I tell it to my church every service; at least it seems like it. The great thing is that I am blessed to have a church where teamwork is of a high priority, and that we work on deepening the unity of our team on a constant basis. Teamwork and complete unity within that teamwork is essential for effective forward progress. I strongly believe this especially about believers who are part of a local church, and who have a dream and desire to see their church truly make a difference for the Kingdom of God. There must be a unity that is there that goes beyond just the surface-level, superficial smiles, and “Hi’s”, and congenial small talk. True teamwork, and I mean teamwork that is inundated with the bonds of unity, carries within it the idea of brothers and sisters working together as a family that may at times disagree, but yet is a family that always forgives, forgets, puts the past behind, and moves forward. If we didn’t need each other so much than the Apostle Paul wouldn’t have written Ephesians 4 calling the Ephesian church and us today to walk in unity always realizing that each of us plays a vital role in the success of furthering the Gospel and building the church.
I witnessed teamwork at a recent outreach that our church did at a waterpark that is located near to where we hold our church services. I watched as the THCI Team worked and labored from 8am until 6pm in the hot Texas sun to play a part in the delivering of the Gospel message to over 2000 people! They set up tents, banners, the stage 3 times for 3 shows where Team Xtreme performed and ministered, carried brick and block, shared the Gospel with people who waited in line for an autograph, talked about the church to everyone, and generally worked like worker ants in unity to accomplish this task to the glory of God. It was awesome for me as the pastor of the church to witness.
Our verse tells us to be diligent about preserving the unity within the team. In other words, work hard at doing your part to keep the unity amongst yourself and those who labor among you. Hey, I realize that there may be people on your team that ‘grate’ on you a bit, but from what I read in Ephesians 4 the Apostle Paul doesn’t give us any out because of that. We are to suck it up, pray about it, put on the garment of love, and do everything you can to bring the team together in unity because that’s just the way it’s supposed to be. I don’t read anywhere in 1 Corinthians 13 where it is explaining what real godly love is that we are allowed to destroy the unity of the team because we want to hold on to our little grudges. This is one of the tricks of the devil and there is nothing more he would like to do than to have believers not get along, and thusly hinder the effectiveness of a church’s forward progress. If a ministry can rid itself from any strife than it can be mightily used of God.
So let’s not let the devil win. Let’s defeat him by being a team and working together with the kind of teamwork that is so unified that nothing can slow us down or hinder us from accomplishing everything God has called us to be and do!
What about you? Are you truly the team player you need to be in your church? Be diligent about preserving unity and make a difference on the team that God has placed you on. Teamwork is key for the effectiveness of God’s work.
God Bless you and may your team thrive and accomplish everything God has called you to accomplish!

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in my love” (John 15:9)
Hello everyone! I hope this finds you walking in the peace and presence of the Lord.
Perhaps the greatest need Christians have today is to learn how to truly abide in Christ (John 15:4-10). We are created with a deep need to know, commune and fellowship with the Lord on a moment-by-moment basis. Christians write, preach, teach, organize, develop evangelistic strategies, and administer programs, but many have forgotten to spend time with the Lord . . . to abide! We need a more personal communion with God in prayer and through His Word so that we can grow more in the “grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). We need to find ways to live our Christian life by abiding in Christ in a very real and practical sense. As a pastor of a local church I have come to realize that if more folks truly gave their relationship with the Lord the same amount of time they give to so many other things in their life that there would be a lot more believers walking in victory and not discouragement. If you are living out your daily walk with Christ in the same old way . . . no excitement, no intimacy, no deep abiding . . . you must make a change!
Let me help you to find a place to start. You need more than the knowledge that you need to abide in Christ; you need to know exactly what that means and how to go about it. Here are a few simple points that will help you daily to abide in Christ.
1. Spend quality time in prayer.
Have you prayed today? The Bible tells us to, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
As well it tells us to, “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving” (Colossians 4:2)
We must follow God day by day with prayer. We must fill our mouths with urging, and fill our urging with faith and fervent desires. Abiding in Christ means that we are celebrating our fellowship with Him, and the greater our fellowship the more we will realize the richness of Him and be able to appropriate His grace and love in all dimensions of our lives. To abide in Christ is to pray always and as the psalmist told us, to pray without ceasing. Are you abiding with Him through prayer? Are you setting aside a time everyday in which you get alone with Him in prayer?
2. Passionately worship Him.
Paul tells us in Romans 12:1: “I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”
In worship, we offer ourselves completely to the Lord. Every day, we need to endeavor to put forth some vigorous acts of love towards Jesus Christ. Even during your normal day, in your secular business and employment, you need to look up to Jesus Christ in worship. In your personal devotions and with your family, worship Christ with passionate adoration that comes from a heart that is truly in love with Him! I am talking about even taking a moment right now wherever you might be and just make a commitment that you will begin to present all of who you are to Him as a living and holy sacrifice-that you will give Him 100% of who you are! I don’t know about you but the Lord has been so good to me and in turn I truly want to worship Him with my life.
3. Cultivate an attitude of thankfulness for what He has done for us.
“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Jesus relinquished the glory and majesty that was His in heaven to take on the role of a lowly servant, lovingly submitting to His Father’s plan. He suffered the wrath of God on the cross-He took the penalty we ought to have suffered for our sin. He endured criticism, ridicule, unbelief, and finally humiliating death by crucifixion in order to right our relationship with God. He humbled Himself before the Father to become the Lamb of God, and He did so in full view of mankind, even when He was labeled a criminal and unjustly convicted. This wasn’t just the brutal suffering that is depicted in so many movies. Jesus, fully God and fully man, became sin so that we in exchange might miraculously become the righteousness of God. And through Him, we have God’s free gift of salvation and eternal life.
Knowing this, how could we respond any differently than to absolutely love Jesus Christ with incredible passion and be overwhelmingly thankful? Anyone who calls himself or herself a true Christian needs to remember that they were truly lost before they accepted Christ. But now because of Him, look at what a true Christian can become-in right standing before God the Father, redeemed, filled with the Holy Spirit, and living with a true purpose in life! One who is truly abiding in Christ has a grateful heart. Too be very honest with you there isn’t anything or anyone in our life that should have a place of greater importance or who deserves more thankfulness than the One who set us free from the bondage of sin and separation from God!
Let me close by asking where you are abiding? Are you abiding in anxiety, loneliness, discouragement, fear, anger, disappointment, worldliness?
Abiding in Christ is a process. So don’t get discouraged if it seems hard to understand how to get it working out in your life. Just start doing-abiding and then just rest in Him, trust in Him, and allow Him to meet with you when you abide with Him.
God Bless,
Pastor Brad Tuttle

Greetings! I hope this finds you walking in the strength of His joy.
“A good name is to be more desired than great wealth.” (Proverbs 22:1)
Integrity means completeness, no duality in what you say and what you do. The opposite of integrity then is hypocrisy. It’s been said that integrity is not only the way one thinks but the way one acts. Integrity is not wearing a cross around your neck, then coming to church, acting like a Christian, and then going home and being a mean (verbally cutting, hateful) or abusive husband, a disrespectful wife, or an uninterested parent. That’s duality, that’s hypocrisy, but not integrity. Integrity means that you don’t hold or profess you’re a Christian, but in your job you do a bad product, you’re rebellious against your boss, you gossip, you act unethically, and you lie…that’s hypocrisy. Integrity is what you are, reputation is what people think you are. You cannot be truly successful in life when you are disrespected by the living here because you lack integrity.
Integrity was so important to Jesus that He made sure He paid the temple tax and Peter’s portion as well even though He didn’t have to (Matt. 17:24-27). Integrity was so important to Paul that he made sure he had two other people with him when he was collecting money from the churches for the poor Christians back in Jerusalem. He wanted to make sure that no one could discredit him so it says he ‘took precaution’ (2 Cor. 8:16-20). Paul protected his integrity because it is that important. Samuel stood before the people he led for decades, and now at the end of his life, he asked that if he had taken anything from anybody, or cheated anybody, oppressed anybody, or taken a bribe from anybody, for them to let him know and he would make it right. It says that no one stood to say anything. In other words, no one had an ought against him because honesty, and integrity had permeated every area of his life. He held himself accountable to the people he led, and opened himself up to the scrutiny of everyone with whom he had ever had dealings, and no one had anything against him. Wow, that’s a life of integrity! We need leaders in the church like that today.
If you don’t have integrity it will affect you and your ability to lead and minister.
If you don’t have integrity it will affect those closest to you. It is awfully difficult for a woman to respect a man who will profess to be a Christian on Sunday, but live abusively the other 6 days. It is hard for a child to live in a home where there is duality.
If you don’t have integrity you’re also going to affect what you can do for God. God cannot truly use a man or woman who lacks integrity (see also Samson).
What do you do ?
You get your life straight.
You reconcile if you need to with those you hurt do to your duality.
You look at yourself in the mirror, and don’t leave unchanged.
You start crossing your T’s and dotting your I’s.
You start ‘taking precaution’ so no one can discredit you.
You’ll never be perfect but you work on never letting your life have holes poked in it due to a lack of integrity.
Always remember that having lived a life of integrity is one of the greatest statements that can be made about you at the end of your life. It’s also one of greatest evangelistic tools you have in your arsenal because people will be open to receiving the Gospel from a man or woman who livs a tre life of integrity.
I hope this has challenged and helped you in your walk with Christ.

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.” (Deuteronomy 7:9)
I hope this finds you walking in the strength of His joy!
A car has shocks to help the frame of the car survive the constant pounding of the road. They protect the frame from potholes and uneven places on the road and enable the car to deliver a smooth ride. In the same way, if you have the ability to flex and give a little when the potholes and uneven places come, you’ll be able to ride a little more smoothly through life.
Let me be very clear: You can’t be successful in life the biblical way if you cannot flex, give, and bend during the tumult, turmoil, and uproar of life.
If you feel mastered by your circumstances or victimized by things you can’t control, you will not enjoy life, be successful in life, or enjoy God as much as you should. And you will probably make everyone around you unhappy as well. We’ve all known people who become fearful, angry, depressed, bitter, and withdrawn when life doesn’t meet their expectations. I’ve watched people leave a church or withdraw from a relationship because they were hurt in some way. Life doesn’t behave like we want it to most of the time. Sometimes it just won’t cooperate.
Someday we will finally live in a perfect world where there is no pain, no suffering, and no crying (Revelation 21:4). But until then how do we survive? We have to put on new “shocks.”
Here are four biblical “shocks” that will enable you to flex and give in the midst of an uneven world.
SHOCK #1: Believe in the Sovereignty of God.
“The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” (Psalm 121:7-8)
We need to believe-rationally, emotionally, and spiritually-that He is our Chief Ruler, our Father in Heaven, and our King of Kings. He will be with us always. In the words of the psalmist, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” (Psalm 139:7)
What does sovereignty mean? It means that you can be a Joseph who receives a promise early in life but whose brothers sell you into slavery. Then you’re falsely accused and thrown into jail where you stay for at least two years. In all, for thirteen years that promise seems to mock you. But God always keeps His promises, exalting you to the highest position in the land and giving you the opportunity to reunite with your family. God is sovereign.
Sovereignty means that you can be a little shepherd boy when a priest named Samuel anoints you, saying that you’re going to be the king of Israel. But years later you find yourself in a cave hiding from the current King who wants to kill you. And yet, God is always in control, finally raising you up to become King of all Israel. Sovereignty means you can be a Christian, know that you’re living in Christ with no condemnation, believing that all things work out together for good, and still you can be hurt and suffer. But believing in God’s sovereignty means that you choose to keep trusting Him. He will provide. He is in control. And He will care for you.
God is always working out His purpose and will for our lives. Sometimes He works through hardship, teaching us things that we need to learn. So the first shock that will help you survive the difficulties of life is belief in the sovereignty of God and trust that He is purposeful in what He does.
SHOCK #2: Hope in God’s glory.
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18)
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” (2 Corinthians 4:17)
The end of our Christian lives will be the ultimate glory! Paul said in Philippians 1:23, “But I am hard pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better” (NASB). That is true glory! The world we live in is not the best of all worlds, because beyond the veil of this life is the glory of God.
Revelation 7:16-17 tells us that in heaven, in the light of God’s glory, there will be no more hunger or thirst, the sun will not beat down on us, and we will no longer suffer, because the Lamb of God will guide us to springs of the water of life and God will wipe every tear from our eyes. His glory is one of the greatest promises we can look forward to-we will experience all that life was originally meant to be.
SHOCK #3: Enjoy God’s gifts.
“That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all toil-this is the gift of God.” (Ecclesiastes 3:13)
Carpe Diem! Seize the Day! Don’t let the elusiveness of what might be take you away from the happiness of what you’ve been given now. You have to enjoy the blessings God has given to you. In the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon tells us seven times to enjoy the wife of our youth and the works of our hands, for God has approved of them. So enjoy every moment. I have talked with many older folks and asked them, “What would you do over in your life?” Almost all the time I hear, “I wish I hadn’t worried about things I couldn’t control. I wish I would have enjoyed the things I did have.”
Enjoy your wife, your kids, sunshine, flowers, food, family, friends, and so on. Get a double dip of ice cream every once in a while!
SHOCK #4: Trust in God’s presence.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains slip into the heart of the sea.” (Psalm 46:1-2)
Trust in God is the belief that He is closer and stronger than my dilemma and my problems. He is our Helper. He promised that He’ll take care of us and that He’ll be with us. “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Psalm 18:2).
In our storm-tossed boat, He knows where we are and He’ll come to us. He calls us, “Just step out here with Me and I’ll take you through it. And when I say so, the storm will go away and I’ll get you to the other side. He will not be roused by the winds and waves, but He instantly responds when I cry “Master!” Then He is up on His feet! Even in my flawed faith, He will rise to take care of me. We need to have a strong belief in the presence of God!
Sit with your Father and love Him, trust Him, enjoy Him, walk with Him. And if anything happens that you can’t figure out, just grab onto Him and hang on. Let Him take you through it.
You cannot be happy or successful in life the biblical way when you let life’s circumstances determine how you respond. You’ve got to have “shocks” to last!
In His Service,
Pastor Brad Tuttle

It’s A New Season
Hello everyone! I hope this finds you excited about the direction of your life in regards to your relationship with Christ.
Well, it’s over, a new season is starting, the trees in my yard are with leaves again, and the squirrels are digging holes in my newly laid mulch trying to find the nuts they buried during winter.
Spring is here and the gym is more crowded with people trying to get their abs to show out from the newly laid layers of winter feasting. Spring is here and everything around us is springing with new life! My question to all of us this week is, “Is our spiritual life staying in hibernation or are we choosing to challenge ourselves to spring to new life in the way we live and serve our awesome Savior and Lord?”
What’s your answer to that question and I mean what’s your true honest answer to that? We just left the holiday where we as believers in Christ celebrate and remember the day our Savior rose Himself up from the grave, the Victor over sin and death. Is there any better reason we can think of to jump start our hearts into a new vigorous beat for Christ? Is there any reason at all that we can think of not to make this a new season in our own lives concerning our passion for loving, serving, and selling out for Christ? Is there any problem or trial that should keep us from not making this a new season of giving all of ourselves to Him and His kingdom work? Really think about it, is there anything that should keep us from making this the season in which we abandon our own selfish pursuits and desires and replace them with godly and kingdom pursuits and desires?
I love Spring! As far as our church is concerned it begins the season of outdoor outreach opportunities. But as far as we are concerned personally let’s let it represent the beginning of a new season of passion for Christ. Some who are reading this right now have been saved for years and yet the enthusiasm for the Lord has never really grown. It’s just Christianity as usual; church on Sunday, no real daily prayer, no Bible study, up and down in daily with life, then come to church again on Sunday, sing some, smile and look the part, leave church and go eat and do it all over again. Man, there is so much more than that available to all of us in our relationship with Christ.
There are opportunities galore to make a difference in people’s lives with the Gospel message. There is so much opportunity to live a life with such joy and zeal as we wake up each and every day with the goal to let our lives be used mightily for God! And remember, we have only one chance on this earth to do all we can with what we’ve been given by the Lord within our relationship with Him. So let’s make our decision concrete this week to start a new season of living all-out for Christ! No more mundane Christian existence. No more passionless Christian existence. It’s a new season for us; for our life with Christ!
Is there any reason at all that we can think of not to make this a new season in our own lives concerning our passion for loving, serving, and selling out for Christ? I can’t think of one.
God bless and have a terrific week as you start your new spiritual season!

“After they had mocked Him, they took the scarlet robe off Him and put His own garments back on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.” (Matthew 27:31)
Hello everyone! I hope you are all ready for this incredible weekend where we remember Christ’s crucifixion and His resurrection! Personally, I can’t wait until church so I can preach on the power of His resurrection, and of course watching all the little ones hunt for Easter eggs after service.
My wife and I were reading the above passage of Scripture in the context of the crucifixion account in Matthew as we pondered on the soon approaching Good Friday. When we read it out loud it hit me regarding the mocking of Christ that that is what the world does so much today–mocking Jesus Christ. As usual there will be many TV programs this week dedicated to trying to put doubt in people’s minds that Jesus was really the Messiah and that He really rose from the dead. It’s amazing how they get by with that, but if it had to do with another religion’s belief system things would not go so well. Yet, the name Christ is used as a cuss word, ungodly comedy sketches are written about Him, TV skeptics laugh at Him, TV shows and movies ridicule Him and misrepresent Him, and people are even trying to take Him out of Christmas and Easter. Amazing! The most influential, powerful, history changing, life altering person that ever walked on the face of the earth and they still mock. If I didn’t realize that Bible says it would be this way it may bug me more. People’s unbelief is perfectly consistent with the Scripture: “but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness” (1 Corinthians 1:23).
We on the other hand, those who know Him personally as Savior and Lord, our mocking days are over, and now we worship! We worship Him because of who He is–the God-Man, the only Savior of the world, the Messiah, the King of Kings, the resurrected (factually proven) Christ, God in the flesh, and the Lord of our lives. We worship Him because He truly has changed our lives! Jesus, who is not just a prophet, but divinity, the only way to heaven, and the One who strengthens, guides, heals, and comforts, has become our utmost object of worship! Let the world mock, but as for me and my house, we are going to worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
I want to challenge you today in this short Weekly Word to worship Him louder, harder, and more effectively than the world mocks Him. Don’t ever be afraid to mention His name. Don’t ever be ashamed to be named as one of His followers. Don’t ever let the world around you mock Him louder than you worship Him. It’s time we turned the tables. Our worship is not just to be done inside the walls of our churches on Sunday mornings! We need to take it outside the walls and into the world we live in–to the workplace, to school, and so on. We need to worship him by the way we talk, act, react, and think. We need to let those who mock Him see that we are proud to call Him Lord. We need to step up and be counted as those who consider Him worthy of all of our praise! And in the long run this may be the very thing that those who mock Jesus need to see. Maybe they just need to see some believers who are truly willing to stand in the face of opposition and not cower, but who shout from the depth of their hearts, “I love you Jesus, you are are worthy of all my praise and worship!” The world shouts for their gods, let’s lift our voices and be heard when it comes to worshipping our true and living God!
God Bless you this week and remember Friday, the Power of the Cross, and Sunday, the Power of His Resurrectiuon!

March 18th, 2009
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. (Ephesians 6:10-13)
Hello everyone! I hope this finds you walking in the power of the Lord.
I am writing on this topic this week because it seems like so many believers are going through spiritual battles. The problem is that many are forgetting exactly what they are in the middle of and are letting it defeat them emotionally. I have written this as a way to bring encouragement to all of you who may be going through it right now-to understand that your enemy is battling against you to steal you zeal, joy, and emotional strength. I don’t want to see you allow this spiritual battle you are in to bring discouragement into your life. So I am giving a call to all who need it today.
It’s a call to us to be men and women of God, to fight the good fight, to stand fast in the faith, to be strong in the Lord in the midst of the battle, in this dark and evil world. We must understand at all times that a true believer is Satan’s enemy. We must see that the greater our impact for God’s kingdom, the harder he works to stir up frustration, doubt, and anxiety.
The apostle Paul wrote a letter to the Ephesian believers warning them that the devil would scheme against a true Christian’s life. He (the devil) rallies the “spiritual forces of wickedness” to attack believers in mind, body, and spirit as we see in 6:12. His primary goal is to divert our attention from the Lord so that our relationship suffers and our witness is weakened or ruined. The Devil cannot snatch our eternal spirit from God’s hand (John 10:29) but he will settle for leading us to make a mess of this present life.
We Are Called To War-Stand Firm!
Those who ignore this call and the battle that rages around them are doomed to be casualties. Fending off satanic attack is not done in our own strength. No man or woman can match wits with the adversary. He is smarter and stronger than even the most intelligent people. Instead we must be continually empowered by God through the Holy Spirit, who is far greater than Satan. (1 John 4:4) We must answer the bugle call, we must put on our armor and stand our ground-or the battle will roll over us.
So we must learn to recognize how the dark systems of the devil work. But more than that, we must learn the processes of overcoming the systems of the devil-not by flesh and blood, not by joining committees, not by political action, not by taking up clubs or assault weapons and attacking a human enemy. No, Paul says the weapons of our warfare are not flesh and blood weapons, not physical weapons, not political weapons. Rather our weapons are mighty through God, unto the pulling down of strongholds and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
We are Called To War-Stand Firm
No battle was ever won without courage, perseverance, and strength. And that is the challenge before us, clearly sounded in Ephesians 6. Paul calls us to be strong in the Lord. He calls us to understand the nature of our enemy, and he calls us to put on the whole armor and join the battle. Let me say again that the apostle Paul indicates that the only ones who can successfully battle against the devil’s forces are true Christians. As unbelievers, we were under the power and control of Satan, even though we did not know it. But when we came to faith in Christ by His grace, we were delivered from his “kingdom of darkness” and made citizens in the “kingdom of light.” Our salvation caused us no longer to be the enemies of God, but at the same time resulted in us becoming the enemies of Satan. No wonder he so aggressively attacks Christians. We were once his subjects. The spiritual war is about not giving way, but standing fast.
So stand fast today and don’t give up ground. Go into your battle position and use the weapons at your disposal-prayer and God’s Word, and your faith in Him as your Deliverer. You have the power of the Holy Spirit within you to fight this war against your mind today and be victorious! So don’t give up, don’t let your mind be discouraged, don’t let your heart be troubled, for the Lord is with you and if He is with you who can be against you. Go on the offensive this week—you take the battle to his doorstep. And always remember, the Lord your God is with you!
God Bless you this week and praise God that the victory is your through the power and might of your Lord and God!

Hello everybody! I hope this finds you walking in the strength of His joy.
Our word for this week is Relax! Are you right in the middle of a trial? Are you going through a financial dilemma? Is your marriage struggling? Are you kids away from God? RELAX!
Somebody is saying how can you tell me to relax at a time like this? I need to act; I need to worry; I need to do something. Granted, there will be things you need to do in action, but there is something else you need to do that is contrary to everything your earthly wisdom and logic is telling you and that is, “Be still, and know that I [am] God…”
”Be still”; not that you should be unconcerned at all the commotion that is going on in your life, or be totally inactive; but you need not to be fearful, or fretful, impatient, or restless; but instead be quiet and easy, and resign yourself not to your will be done but to the will of God, and live in an assured expectation of the appearance of divine Providence in your circumstance.
And “know”; or acknowledge that He is God, a sovereign Being that does whatsoever He pleases. And that He is unchangeable in His Nature, purposes, promises, and covenant to you and with you. And that He is omnipotent (ALL-powerful), able to help you and deliver you. And that He is omniscient (ALL-wise), and knows all about you and your troubles, and how and where to hide them until the storm is over. And that He makes all things work together for good to them who love Him and are called according to His purpose. And that He is faithful to His word and promise, and will not cause you to be burdened with more than you can bear.
You must understand and know today that with Him in your boat, in your life that He is telling you today to be still, be calm, and tremble no more, but know, to your comfort, that the Lord is God, He is God alone, and will be exalted above everyone and everything; and He will maintain His honor to fulfill His promises to you. Though your situation may try to make you discouraged, yet let yourself not be dejected, for you must be sure and know that God will be exalted, and will work for His great name.
Relax today son or daughter of God. He really is in control. Yes, there are things you may need to repent of, things that you may have done that got you into this mess, or it may just have been a set of circumstances that were out of your control, but whichever it may be, as His child today He knows and you need to know too-you need to know that today you just need to RELAX, take a deep breath, be still and know that He is your God, and in that truth find the comfort you need to go on in His strength. He will always be with you!
God Bless and relax today in Him and His promises to you.

Hello everybody! I hope this finds you walking in the strength and power of the Lord.
I believe I have been inspired to write on this topic this week because of the marvelous first-time salvation we witnessed in church on Sunday morning! It is always amazing to see the Holy Spirit work on a heart as it responds to His call. I was so glad I was faithful to His leading me to share the Gospel message at the end of my ‘Marriage on the Rock’ sermon.
So want I want to quickly deal with this topic of overcoming the fear to witness to others about Christ and His ability to save.
Fear to evangelize or to witness can be absolutely paralyzing at times, and it thusly does more to hinder our witness that any other single item. Can this fear problem be overcome? Does a person ever get to the point when fear in evangelism is a thing of the past? All of these questions are answered for us in the Bible. Keep in mind though that: Fear in evangelism is normal. It assures you that you are a normal human being.
Paul the apostle requested prayer that “utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel” (Eph. 6:19). You mean Paul the apostle is actually requesting prayer for boldness in evangelism after his extensive experience? Most certainly.
Those who share Christ constantly don’t do it because they are never afraid. They do it because each time they do boldness overtakes fear, instead of fear overtaking boldness. With that in mind, how do we as normal human beings and believers in Christ experience the boldness that overcomes fear?
At least 4 things will help us experience the victory any believer committed to evangelism desires in this area:
Talk to God About Your Fear
As we do so, we are specifically asking God for courage or boldness. The courage that makes us go ahead despite our fears.
Focus on What God Thinks of People, Not on What People Think of You
Fear in evangelism often results in being too self-focused. It results from worrying too much about what others might think of you if you share the Gospel with them. Questions such as, “Will they still be my friend?” “Will they think less of me?” “Will I lose respect?” hinder evangelism. “I” is at the center of all of these worries. Focusing on you becomes distracting at its least, defeating at its worst. If Jesus Christ was willing to sacrifice His life for us, we ought to be willing to sacrifice friendship, pride, or respect.
Concentrate on the Beauty of the Message and the Privilege of Being Its Messenger
After what happened in Philippi, Paul easily could have entered Thessalonica with the attitude, “I’m sick of this evangelism stuff. It’s the best way I’ve ever heard of to win enemies and drive away friends. And besides, I’ve never hurt so bad. Why should I invite physical abuse?”
Yet Paul was able to testify, “But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict” (1 Thess. 2:2). Unlike other speakers whose messages were full of deceit, uncleanness, and guile, Paul recognized he had only truth and good news, not error and bad news to give them. When a person is so gripped by a message another needs to hear, everything else becomes insignificant in comparison.
Nobody Overcomes Fear Without Evangelizing
Fear in evangelism is never conquered in a classroom. It is only studied in a classroom. To overcome fear, two items are absolutely essential: obedience and experience. Without obedience there never is experience. The first thing Jesus taught His disciples was evangelism. “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt. 4: I 9).
Experience teaches us how to prepare for reality. Experience brings skills in evangelism such as how to turn a conversation to spiritual things, how to answer questions and objections, and how to clearly and concisely present the Gospel-all of which are often elements of our fear. More than once a person has said to me, “I don’t mind being rejected. I can handle that. I just don’t know how to answer when someone says. . .” To counter these fears, we need good solid training in evangelism-something few believers have had. There are lessons in evangelism that can only be learned through face-to-face, eyeball-to-eyeball contact with the lost. So it’s important to get out there and do it!
There is so much more to this topic but your time is limited. The very important thing is that we at least have a desire to reach those without Christ as Savior. All true believers should feel this way. There is a world that is ‘lost’ without Christ and they need to hear the greatest message of hope they could ever hear–that Jesus Christ came to save them from their sin.
