Local Outreach
At The Harvest Church International, we have a passionate desire to not only reach out worldwide through our Harvest Worldwide ministry, but to strategically reach out to those in our own “backyard.” Following Acts 1:8, our participation in missions and evangelism will begin locally.
From the very inception of our church we have sowed back into our local community through food and clothing drives. This has been an on-going aspect of our church and will continue to be so. God directed us to strategically start going door-to-door by partnering with a local food bank and collecting canned goods, and the specified items needed on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. It is such an incredible blessing to deliver the food to the food bank on Monday and see those in need shopping, and just knowing that the food collected will go to help them feed their families.
That’s a feeling that can’t be described! We will continue to reach out locally to those in need through giving financially, Angel Tree projects, building programs, and so on. If it’s available and possible for us to do we will strive to participate and get it done for the people and for Christ. We want to initiate fresh, innovative, and effective opportunities to introduce the love of Christ and present Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to as many people as possible. We have been entrusted to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to meet the needs of those in need.
