A few years ago I stumbled upon three beautiful paintings of wild horses. And I must admit I was love-struck when I saw them, they truly “spoke to me”…and I desired to make a home for them. So a few days later for my birthday my husband surprised me with all three. One is a white stallion with a large flowing mane blowing in the wind as he runs. The other is a dark horse, black as night, standing majestically. And the last is a palomino, blonde, strong and stately. All three have a special place where they are hung in our home.
There is something so majestic and beautiful about horses. Seeing pictures of them running wild and free as their mane flows carelessly in the wind. They truly are one of God’s most exquisite and powerful creations.
Over our bed I hung the white stallion, and every time I enter our bedroom I am reminded of the Rider on the white stallion.
Revelation 19:11-16, “Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The One sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems, and He has a name written that no one knows but Himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which He is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.”
Jesus, the Rider on the white stallion, is coming back.
He is not weak.
He is not a powerless Lord and King.
He is a mighty warrior.
The King of all kings.
The Lord of all lords.
Death could not hold Him.
The enemy could not conquer Him.
No one and nothing can stop Him.
He is All Powerful.
He is All Knowing.
He is Faithful and True.
What a sight that will be to behold the Rider on the white stallion and the armies of heaven galloping behind Him.
Next time you pass a pasture and see a horse running free, be reminded that one day our precious Lord and Savior will split that Eastern sky and will be riding fiercely as the Mighty King that He is!
This Texas gal has her boots out, and is ready to ride in that sky!
Until Next Time…
