He Still Moves Mountains
Last year Brad and I were ministering in Louisville, Colorado. Our precious pastor friends (whose church we were ministering at) blessed us with a night at a resort in Estes Park. Since we would only be there for a short time we wanted to get the whole Rocky Mountain experience. So I signed us up to take their four hour “Rocky Mountain Experience” Jeep tour. And oh what an experience it was!
Brad and I were so excited. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Cool and crisp with a tinge of Fall in the air. So we climbed into the back of the open top Jeep, sat back and relaxed as the tour guide drove us up the mountain side. The trees were beautifully arrayed along the dirt road we were traveling on. The wildlife was peeking through the vegetation. You could hear several waterfalls roaring from a distance. It truly was gorgeous and memorable.
As we ascended, Brad and I bundled up in our beanies and heavy coats since the climb in elevation made it a lot colder. And I must admit, we loved every minute of this amazing ride. As we arrived at the top of the mountain (11,000ft above sea level), I stood up in the back of the jeep and took a picture of the majestic view. Seriously, it was breathtaking. As far as our eyes could see it was nothing but snow capped mountains. It was then I heard the Lord speak to me, “I still move mountains.”
Mark 11:22-23, “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to the mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast in the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
Tonight Brad and I were faced with some mountain sized circumstances. So I turned on my worship music and began to worship the Lord. Calling on His goodness and His faithfulness. I kept declaring these words from the worship song “Far be it for me to not believe, even when my eyes can’t see. And this mountain that’s in front of me shall be moved in the midst of the sea.”
Jesus said in His Word we could speak to those mountains in our lives to be removed and cast away and they would obey us. Based on His Word, I commanded this “mountain” to be removed from out of the midst of our lives.
I encourage you precious one, no matter what mountains you are facing know that He still moves the mountains. Speak to those circumstances in Jesus’ Name and command them to depart. Remember our God is greater and mightier than any mountain you will face. He is God Almighty. Creator of Heaven and Earth. Nothing is impossible for Him. HE IS THE MOUNTAIN MOVER!
Until next time…
