It’s been awhile, and I have missed my time with you. As I am writing this, my pup has snuggled her way into my chair, nestled very close. It is the early morning; my coffee and my snack have both been devoured and I am ready to pen my thoughts while enjoying the beauty and stillness that 3 AM brings.
It is my favorite time of the year… Christmas. My living room in dimly lit by the Christmas lights interwoven on the wreath over my fireplace. My tree so beautifully displays all the ornaments I have grown to adore, by gently rotating clockwise. And reindeer are scattered throughout this room peeking through the Christmas decor. It truly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
The week leading up to Christmas can be a very busy, and sometimes peace less time. In attempts to find the perfect gift for that special someone, make our homes look like they stepped out of a gorgeous Pinterest photoshoot, mailing the Christmas cards, baking and cooking, entertaining friends and family... we often lose our FaLaLaLa.
This morning I have a life-giving Word for you: You can thrive through this Christmas season!
Psalm 1:2-3 says “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
Today take the time to tend to your spiritual health. A well-tended tree bears much fruit. If you are connected to the Life Source, Jesus Christ, you will not wither when pressures come. Your roots will constantly be nourished by the One who gives life, vitality, peace and rest.
Determine today to be in a constant state of communion and fellowship with God. And if you do this, you will thrive, not just survive.
Take care of yourself, and remember Thriving Through This Christmas Season can be done! Don’t draw your energy from that oh so yummy popular holiday latte 😊… draw from His Word and fellowship with Him. He is the true Source of ALL supply.
Have a very Merry Christmas and start THRIVING!
